We are pleased to offer you a programme of excursions to make your stay in Siracusa an unforgettable experience
The province of Siracusa and the whole south-east of Sicily provides a treasure trove of nature, archaeology and landscape. Our hiking guide Sebastiano will lead you along wonderfully exciting paths in the stunning landscape of Europe’s highest volcano, or dipping into the nature and history of the Mediterranean.

OUR PROPOSALS:

– Excursions: activities in natural landscapes with variable difficulty and altitude. Excursions require basic fitness and hiking equipment.
– Tours: the 1-day tours can be shaped to your interests, we use a car and can visit several areas. You will not require particular equipment or expertise. Our hiking guide will accompany you on visits to areas of natural beauty. We do not offer a tourist guide.

Always included: transfer by car; insurance; hiking guide; English or other language speaking courier (except Tour Etna Light).

– Cava Grande del Cassibile

Excursion with guide in the wonderful wild canyon Cava Grande. We offer 2 itineraries:

1) Itinerario Light: in the summer itinerary, after following a short path we reach the pool where we can refresh ourselves in glorious surroundings

2) Itinerario Ring: a circular route, from the north to the south slope and then to the north again, on ancient paths through the most scenic and evocative places in the canyon. In summer we can rest and refresh ourselves in the river pools. 
• Type: nature excursion.
•Difficulty: 1) easy excursion, on trails that are only occasionally steep 2) demanding excursion, on steep and impervious but rarely exposed trails.
• Equipment: trekking-shoes, headgear and towel.
• Duration: full day.

– Pantalica

Excursion with guide in the protected area of Pantalica, an important historical site in an area of natural beauty, included on the Unesco World Heritage List. Along the paths we visit the incredible necropolis, the villages carved into rock, and the Byzantine church. In summer we can take a cooling dip in the clear water of the River Anapo.
• Typology: nature-archaelogical excursion.
• Difficulty: easy excursion, on trails that are rarely steep.
• Equipment: trekking-shoes, headgear swimsuit and towel.
• Duration: full day.

– Mount Etna

Excursion with guide on the volcano of Etna. We walk on splendid trials in the most spectacular sites of her Highness Etna. You can shape the excursion according to the level of difficulty and duration that suits you. You can hire trekking-shoes, snowshoes, hiking sticks etc.

• Typology: volcanological excursion.
• Difficulty: easy or demanding excursion, sometimes on very steep paths.
• Equipment: trekking-shoes, mountain clothing.
• Duration: full day.

– Tour Etna Light

(To The Top of Etna)

Departure from your accommodation to the south slope of Etna. Short stop in Nicolosi and at the Rifugio Sapienza at an altitude of 2000m. The tour continues from here without our guide, but in cooperation with the company Funivia dell’Etna, carrying you by cablecar and jeep to an altitude of c.3000m (tickets not included). On request you may extend your tour as far as Taormina (with about one and a half hours to visit the town).

• Difficulty: easy. 
• Duration: half day.
• Included: coupon for the Funivia Bar at 2500m (sandwich or pizza, beverage and coffee or cappuccino).

– Tour Iblei (Cavagrande-Palazzolo Acreide-Ferla-Pantalica)

Itinerant tour to the heart of the Iblei mountains. The first stop of our tour is on the top of the Avola’s, on the south slope of the canyon Cava Grande del Cassibile, when we stop to enjoy the view over the canyon. Along isolated roads through unique natural landscapes we reach Palazzolo Acreide. We stop to visit this beautiful town. We continue to Ferla and Pantalica, with Europe’s biggest bronze-age necropolis.

– South-East Tour (Marzamemi-Vendicari-Villa del Tellaro-Noto)

Itinerant tour to discover the beautiful south-east coast. The first stop of our tour is in the characteristic fishing village Marzamemi, a lovely place to enjoy a coffee. We continue along the spectacular coast and reach Vendicari for a visit to the nature reserve (where we can swim in summer). We proceed towards the Villa Romana del Tellaro for a short visit of the mosaics. Finally we visit Noto, the capital of Baroque art in south east Sicily.
